It's a Snow Day! It's a Snow Day!
The joyous cries were heard far and wide through Santa Fe again this morning! I could take more pictures - but they'd look like the ones from before - but with MORE snow (~8"?). The sun is out today - brilliant blue skies - illluminating all the snow crystals. Eutaw and I explored the neighborhood this morning - she pounded through the snow like a puppy (even old dogs love Snow Days!). It's a light, powdery snow (telemark skiiers rejoice!) . But, the surface streets are frozen solid. It really is a winter wonderland here.
Unlike Seattle, Santa Feans are happy in snow. We woke up this morning to a snow flurry at dawn that brought about an inch of snow - our first accumulation of record this season. Too late for the ski hill that didn't open on Thanksgiving. But my paperwhites decided to bloom this week too - so it must be winter here at last.
